జీవ వైవిధ్య సంరక్షణ (అటవీ వనరుల, వన్యజాతి జీవుల సంరక్షణ) జీవావరణంలోని సమస్త జీవజాతుల మధ్య ఉన్న జన్యుపరమైన, జాతులపరమైన, ఆవరణ వ్యవస్థల పరమైన తేడాలు, వైవిధ్యతలనే జీవ వైవిధ్యతగా పరిగణిస్తారు. పర్యావర ణ, ఆహార, వైద్య, వాణిజ్య, పారిశ్రామిక, సామాజిక, సాంస్కృతిక, సౌందర్యపరంగా జీవ వైవిధ్య ప్రాముఖ్యతను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకొని ప్రస్తుత, భవిష్యత్ తరాలకు జీవ వనరులను అందుబాటులో ఉంచుతూ, సుస్థిరాభివృద్ధి సాధించడానికి సాంకేతిక విజ్ఞానం ద్వారా జీవ వైవిధ్యతను సమర్థంగా నిర్వహించడమే జీవ వైవిధ్య సంరక్షణ. జీవ వైవిధ్య సంరక్షణలో ఇమిడి ఉన్న అంశాలు: 1. మానవ చర్యల వల్ల ప్రమాదస్థితిలో ఉన్న వన్య, వృక్ష, జంతుజాతులను గుర్తించి, వాటిని పునఃస్థాపితం చేసే రక్షణ ప్రణాళికలను రూపొందించాలి. 2. {పమాద స్థితిలో ఉన్న జాతుల బీజద్రవ్యాలను, విత్తనాలను, పిండాలను భద్రపరిచే ప్రయోగశాలలను ఏర్పాటు చేయాలి 3. దేశవాళి రకాల జాతుల ఆవాసాలను గుర్తించి, వాటి పరిరక్షణకు రక్షిత ప్రాంతాలను గుర్తించాలి. జీవ జాతుల అక్రమ రవాణాను, అంతర్జాతీయ వ్యాపారాన్ని అరికట్టే శాసనాలు, చట్టాలను అమలు చేయాలి. 4. బహుళ జాతి కంపెనీలు సాగించే జీవ చౌర్యాన్ని అరికట్టే చర్యలు చేపట్టాలి. * జీవ వైద్య సంరక్షణకు రెండు రకాల వ్యూహాలను అమలు చేస్తున్నారు. అవి.. 1) IN-Situ సంరక్షణ (ఆవాసాంతర సంరక్షణ) 2) Ex-Situ సంరక్షణ(ఆవాసేతర సంరక్షణ) IN-Situ సంరక్షణ: ఏదైనా భౌగోళిక ప్రాంతంలో అంతరించిపోయే ప్రమాదంలో ఉన్న జీవజాతులను వాటి జన్యు సంపదను అదే భౌగోళిక ప్రాంతంలో మానవ ప్రమేయంతో రక్షించే విధానమే ఐూజ్టీఠ సంరక్షణ. ఈ పద్ధతిలో సమాజానికి లాభం కలిగించే విభిన్న రకాల రక్షిత ప్రాంతాల నెట్వర్కను ఏర్పాటు చేస్తారు. ఈ విధానంలో 4 రకాల కార్యక్రమాలు రూపొందించి అమలు చేస్తున్నారు. అవి.. ఎ) జాతీయ పార్కులు: ప్రకృతి సంపద, సుందర ప్రదేశాలు, దృశ్యాలు, వన్యజీవులను సంరక్షించేందుకు జాతీయ పార్కులను ఏర్పాటు చేస్తారు. ఈ ప్రాంతాల నుంచి వంట చెరకును సేకరించుకోవడం, పశువులను మేపుకోవడం, అటవీ ఉత్పత్తులను సేకరించడం నిషిద్ధం. ఈ ప్రాంతాలపై వ్యక్తిగత హక్కులు ఉండవు. జాతీయ పార్కుల హద్దులను శాసనం ద్వారా నిర్ణయిస్తారు. ప్రస్తుతం దేశంలో 4.2 మిలియన్ హెక్టార్లలో (దేశ భూభాగంలో 1.3శాతం) 97 జాతీయ పార్కులు ఉన్నాయి. బి) వన్యమృగ సంరక్షణ కేంద్రాలు (అభయారణ్యాలు): వీటిని వన్యప్రాణుల సంరక్షణకు కేటాయించిన ప్పటికీ వీటి సరిహద్దులను శాసనం ద్వారా నిర్ణయించరు. ఇక్కడి వన్యప్రాణులకు కీడు కలిగించనంత వరకు అటవీ కార్యకలాపాలను చేప ట్టేందుకు అనుమతి ఉంది. ప్రస్తుతం 12 మిలియన్ల హెక్టార్ల భూభాగంలో (దేశభూభాగంలో 3.7 శాతం) 512 జాతీయ పార్కులు ఉన్నాయి. సి) బయోస్పియర్ రిజర్వ: ఏదైనా భౌగోళిక ప్రాంతంలో వృక్ష, జంతుజాతులు, వాటి జన్యువుల పరిరక్షణ, గిరిజనుల జీవనశైలి, పెంపుడు మొక్కల, జంతువుల జన్యు ఆధారాలను సంరక్షించేందుకు ఏర్పాటైన బహుళ ప్రయోజనకర రక్షిత ప్రాంతాలే బయోస్పియర్ రిజర్వలు. యునెస్కో ఆధ్వర్యంలో ఏర్పాటైన మ్యాన్ అండ్ బయోస్పియర్ ప్రోగ్రామ్ (1971) ప్రస్తుతం దేశంలో 19 బయోస్పియర్ ప్రాంతాలను ప్రకటించింది. డి) దుర్బల, ప్రమాద స్థితిలో ఉన్న జీవజాతుల పరిరక్షణకు ప్రత్యేక పథకాలు: ప్రాజెక్టు టైగర్: అంతరించిపోతున్న పులుల సంతతిని పరిరక్షించడానికి, వాటి సంఖ్యను పెంపొందించడానికి, వాటిలోని సౌందర్య, సాంస్కృతిక, వాణిజ్య, ఆవరణ వ్యవస్థల పరమైన విలువలను కాపాడడానికి 1973 నుంచి ఈ పథకాన్ని అమలు చేస్తున్నారు. ప్రస్తుతం ఈ పథకం కింద దేశంలో 47 పులి సంరక్షణా కేంద్రాలు ఏర్పాటయ్యాయి. పులిసంరక్షణా కేంద్రాలు, పులులు ఎక్కువ సంఖ్యలో ఉన్న రాష్ర్టం మధ్యప్రదేశ్. అందుకే దీన్ని పులి రాష్ర్టంగా పిలుస్తారు. అంతేకాకుండా పులిని 1973లో జాతీయ జంతువుగా ప్రకటించారు. ప్రాజెక్టు ఎలిఫెంటా: ఏనుగుల సంతతిని పెంచడానికి 1992లో ఈ పథకాన్ని ప్రవేశపెట్టారు. ప్రస్తుతం దేశంలోని 13 రాష్ట్రాల్లో 28 ఏనుగు సంరక్షణా కేంద్రాలున్నాయి. ప్రాజెక్టు క్రోకోడైల్: మొసళ్ల పరిరక్షణకు 1975 నుంచి ఈ పథకాన్ని ప్రవేశపెట్టారు. ప్రస్తుతం ఎనిమిది రాష్ట్రాల్లో 16 మొసలి సంరక్షణా కేంద్రాలు ఏర్పాటయ్యాయి. ప్రాజెక్టు సీ టర్టుల్స్: సముద్ర తాబేళ్ల పరిరక్షణకు 1975లో ఈ పథకాన్ని ఒడిశాలోని గహిర్మతాబీచ్లో ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. ఇందులో రిడ్లే రకానికి చెందిన తాబేళ్లను పరిరక్షిస్తున్నారు. 2) Ex-Situ సంరక్షణ: ఏదైనా భౌగోళిక ప్రాంతంలో అంతరించే స్థితిలో ఉన్న జీవ జాతులను వాటి సహజ ఆవాసాలకు వెలుపల పరిరక్షించే విధానమే ఉ్ఠజ్టీఠ సంరక్షణ. ఈ విధానంలో జీవజాతులు, వాటి నమూనాలను, విత్తన, పిండ నిల్వల బ్యాంకులు, కణజాల వర్థన కేంద్రాలు, జన్యుబ్యాంకులు, బీజ ద్రవ్య బ్యాంకులు, చేపల గుడ్ల నిల్వ కేంద్రాలు, జంతు ప్రదర్శనశాలలో సంరక్షిస్తారు. పైన తెలిపిన విధానాలతోపాటు దేశంలో అనేక చట్టాలు, పరిశోధనా కేంద్రాలను కూడా జీవవైవిద్య సంరక్షణలో భాగంగా రూపొందించి అమలు చేస్తున్నారు. అవి.. 1. జియోలాజికల్ సర్వే ఆఫ్ ఇండియా, కోల్కతా 2. ఫారెస్ట్ సర్వే ఆఫ్ ఇండియా, డెహ్రాడూన్ 3. ఫారెస్ట్ రీసెర్చ్ ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్, డెహ్రాడూన్ 4. అరిడ్ ఫారెస్ట్ రీసెర్చ్ ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్- జోధ్పూర్(రాజస్థాన్) 5. ఇండియన్ ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్ ఆఫ్ ఫారెస్ట్రీ- డెహ్రాడూన్ 6. ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్ ఆఫ్ ఉడ్ సైన్స్ ఆఫ్ టెక్నాలజీ-బెంగళూరు 7. {sZíఫకల్ ఫారెస్ట్ రీసెర్చ్ ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్ -
