Tokyo Paralympics 2021: పారాలింపిక్స్‌ వేడుకలు ప్రారంభం..

టోక్యో: మరో విశ్వ క్రీడా సంగ్రామానికి తెరలేచింది. టోక్యో వేదికగా మంగళవారం పారాలింపిక్స్ క్రీడలు అట్టహాసంగా ప్రారంభమయ్యాయి. పారాలింపిక్స్‌ ప్రారంభ వేడుకలకు జపాన్‌ చక్రవర్తి నరుహిటో, ప్రధాని సుగా హాజరయ్యారు. ఆగస్టు 24 నుంచి సెప్టెంబర్‌ 5 వరకు 13 రోజుల పాటు జరిగే పారా విశ్వక్రీడల్లో 163 దేశాలకు చెందిన సుమారు 4500 మంది పారా అథ్లెట్లు పాల్గొననున్నారు.

22 క్రీడలకు సంబంధించి 540 ఈవెంట్లలో పోటీలు జరగనున్నాయి. పతకాలే లక్ష్యంగా భారత్​ నుంచి 54 మంది పారా అథ్లెట్లు బరిలోకి దిగుతున్నారు. ఈ ప్రారంభోత్సవంలో భారత త్రివర్ణ పతాకాన్ని జావెలిన్ త్రోయర్ టెక్ చంద్ చేతబూని మన దేశ బృందాన్ని నడిపించాడు.
