సాక్షి, అనంతపురం: కళ్యాణదుర్గంలో టీడీపీ ఇంఛార్జి ఉమామహేశ్వర నాయుడు రౌడీయిజం చెలాయించాడు. ముఖ్యమంత్రి వైఎస్‌ జగన్‌మోహన్‌ రెడ్డిపై అనుచిత వ్యాఖ్యలకు నిరసనగా వైఎస్సార్‌సీపీ శ్రేణులు చంద్రబాబు దిష్టిబొమ్మను దహనం చేశారు. ఈ క్రమంలో వైఎస్సార్ సీపీ నేతలపై టీడీపీ నియోజకవర్గ ఇన్చార్జి ఉమామహేశ్వర నాయుడు, అనుచరులు దాడికి పాల్పడ్డారు. ఈ క్రమంలో టీడీపీ- వైఎస్సార్ సీపీ శ్రేణుల మధ్య ఘర్షణ చోటుచేసుకుంది. పోలీసులు జోక్యం చేసుకొని ఇరువర్గాలను చెదరగొట్టారు.

కళ్యాణదుర్గం(అనంతపురం): కళ్యాణదుర్గం తెలుగుదేశం పార్టీలో ఆధిపత్య పోరు తారస్థాయికి చేరింది. నియోజకవర్గ ఇన్‌చార్జ్‌ ఉమామహేశ్వరనాయుడు, సీనియర్‌ నాయకుల మధ్య పచ్చగడ్డి వేస్తే భగ్గుమనే పరిస్థితి నెలకొంది. సీనియర్‌ నేతలు గ్రూపులు ప్రోత్సహిస్తున్నారంటూ ఇన్‌చార్జ్‌ అధిష్టానానికి ఫిర్యాదు చేస్తే.. ఇన్‌చార్జ్‌ తమను ఏమాత్రం గుర్తించకుండా.. సొంత నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకుంటున్నాడంటూ సీనియర్లు ఫిర్యాదు చేస్తున్నారు. ఇటీవల ఉమాకు అనుకూలంగా మీడియాలో కథనం రావడంతో ఇరు వర్గాల్లో అంతర్గత కుమ్ములాటలు మరింత తీవ్రమయ్యాయి. ఏకంగా మాజీ ఎమ్మెల్యే ఉన్నం హనుమంతరాయచౌదరితో పాటు ఆయన వర్గీయులు సదరు మీడియా యాజమాన్యాన్ని కలిసి ఏకపక్షంగా వార్తలు రాయడం ఏంటని నిలదీసినట్లు సమాచారం.    విభేదాలు మొదలైందిలా..  కళ్యాణదుర్గం నియోజకవర్గంలో 2019 ఎన్నికల్లో టీడీపీ ఎమ్మెల్యే అభ్యర్థిగా మాదినేని ఉమామహేశ్వరనాయుడును అధిష్టానం ప్రకటించింది. తమకు కాకుండా స్థానికేతరుడికి టికెట్‌ ఇవ్వడంపై ఉన్నం వర్గీయులు భగ్గుమన్నారు. అప్పట్లో రెబల్‌ అభ్యర్థిగా ఉన్నం హనుమంతరాయ చౌదరి నామినేషన్‌ దాఖలు చేశారు. దీనిపై అధిష్టానం జోక్యం చేసుకుని ఉన్నంను బుజ్జగించి రాజీ చేసింది. అయినా స్థానికేతరుడికి టికెట్‌ ఎలా కేటాయిస్తారంటూ లోలోన మదనపడుతూ ఎన్నికలకు దూరంగా ఉన్నారు.  అధిష్టానానికి ఫిర్యాదుల వెల్లువ..   గత సార్వత్రిక ఎన్నికల్లో వైఎస్సార్‌సీపీ అభ్యర్థి కె.వి.ఉషశ్రీచరణ్‌ చేతిలో ఉమామహేశ్వరనాయుడు ఓడిపోయారు. తన ఓటమికి ఉన్నం వర్గీయులే కారణమని అప్పట్లో ఉమా ఏకంగా అధిష్టానానికి ఫిర్యాదు చేశారు. అనంతరం జరిగిన జెడ్పీటీసీ, ఎంపీటీసీ ఎన్నికల్లో అభ్యర్థుల ఎంపికకు సంబంధించి నియోజకవర్గ టీడీపీ ఇన్‌చార్జ్‌ ఉమామహేశ్వరనాయుడు ఓ పేరును ప్రతిపాదిస్తే...ఉన్నం మరో పేరును ప్రతిపాదించి పోటాపోటీగా నామినేషన్లు వేయించారు. దీనిపై మూడేళ్ల నుంచి టీడీపీ నేతలు ఒకరిపై ఒకరు ఫిర్యాదులు చేసుకుంటూ ఆధిపత్య పోరుకు ఆజ్యం పోశారు. వీరి తీరుతో విసిగివేసారిన కేడర్‌ తలోదారి చూసుకుంటున్నారు.  ఎమ్మెల్యే టికెట్‌పై ఎవరికి వారు ప్రచారాలు  ఇటీవల ఇరు వర్గాల టీడీపీ నేతలతో అధినేత చంద్రబాబు విడివిడిగా చర్చించారు. అధిష్టానంతో సంప్రదింపుల అనంతరం వచ్చే ఎన్నికల్లో ఎమ్మెల్యే టికెట్‌ తనకే వస్తుందని ఉమా చెప్పారు. ఉన్నం వర్గీయుల్లో ఎవరికిచ్చినా తమకు అభ్యంతరం లేదంటూ మాజీ జెడ్పీటీసీ సభ్యుడు రామ్మోహన్‌ చౌదరి, మాజీ ఎంపీపీ చౌళం మల్లికార్జున అభిప్రాయం వెలిబుచ్చినట్లు తెలిసింది. ఇలా ఎవరికి వారు టికెట్‌ తమకంటే తమకే    అంటూ అనుయాయుల వద్ద చెప్పుకుంటున్నారు. అయితే కళ్యాణదుర్గంలో టికెట్‌ విషయంపై ఇప్పుడేమీ మాట్లాడబోనని, జిల్లా పర్యటనకు వచ్చినప్పుడు స్పష్టం చేస్తామని చంద్రబాబు చెప్పినట్లు సమాచారం.

 కోనేరుసెంటర్‌ (మచిలీపట్నం): అమెరికాలోని ఇండియానాలో జరిగిన విమాన ప్రమాదంలో కృష్ణా జిల్లా కేంద్రమైన మచిలీపట్నానికి చెందిన దంపతులు కలపటపు ఉమామహేశ్వరరావు, సీతాగీత మృతిచెందారు. శనివారం గల్లంతయిన ఈ విమానాన్ని గాలింపు బృందాలు మంగళవారం గుర్తించాయి. ఈ విషయం తెలియడంతో మచిలీపట్నంలో విషాదఛా యలు అలముకున్నాయి. అమెరికాలోని ఇండియానాలో వైద్య వృత్తిలో స్థిరపడిన ఉమామహేశ్వరరావు దంపతులు నలభై ఏళ్ల క్రితం అమెరికా వెళ్లారు. వీరు అక్కడి నుంచి ఇక్కడే ఉన్నా చిన్ననాటి స్నేహితులు, బంధువులతో ఇప్పటికీ సంబంధాలు కొనసాగిస్తున్నారు.
 
  ఉమామహేశ్వరరావు దంపతులకు ఇద్దరు కుమారులు, కుమార్తె ఉన్నారు. భార్యాభర్తలు సైక్రియాటిస్ట్‌లుగా అమెరికాలో మంచి పేరు తెచ్చుకున్నారు. ఉమామహేశ్వరరావు తండ్రి అప్పారావు జడ్జిగా పనిచేశారు. అప్పారావుకు ఏడుగురు కుమారులు, ముగ్గురు కుమార్తెలు కాగా, పుత్ర సంతానంలో ఉమామహేశ్వరరావు ఆఖరి వాడు. ఉమామహేశ్వరరావు భార్య సీతాగీత వీణలో మంచి ప్రావీణ్యం కలిగిన వ్యక్తి. దంపతులు ఇద్దరు ఇండియా వచ్చిన ప్రతిసారి ఆమె మచిలీపట్నంలోని అనేక క్లబ్‌ల తరపున పలు కార్యక్రమాలు నిర్వహిం చి అందరి మన్ననలు అందుకున్నారు.
 
 ఉమామహేశ్వరరావు కుమారుల్లో ఒకరు గుంటూరులో స్థిరపడగా, మరో కుమారుడు, కుమార్తె వైద్యులుగా ప్రాక్టీస్‌ చేస్తున్నట్లు వారి సన్నిహితుడు యెండూరి సురేష్‌ తెలిపారు. అమెరికాలో స్థిరపడినప్పటికీ మచిలీపట్నంతో మంచి సత్సంబంధాలు నడిపిన ఉమామహేశ్వరరావు, సీతాగీతల అకాల మరణం తమకు తీరని విషాదాన్ని మిగిల్చిందని సురేష్‌ మరి కొంత మంది స్నేహితులు ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశారు ఉమామహేశ్వరరావు ఎంత ఉన్నత స్థితికి ఎదిగినా పుట్టిన గడ్డ మీద మమకారం చంపుకోలేక బలరామునిపేటలోని తండ్రి కష్టార్జితమైన ఇంటిని కొంత కాలం క్రితం అధిక రేటుకు కొనుగోలు చేశారు.

 These days Engineering has become a common professional degree with ever growing number of Engineering Colleges both in Govt., and Private Sectors in India. Lakhs of students pass out every year from Engineering colleges, but not all of them are assured with a promising career. Students during first year of engineering course work should mould themselves to be on an effective learning path to get a good foothold in engineering education.
 
 Unique and evergreen
 Though engineering has become a common professional degree, it is always a unique and evergreen course to pursue. While pursuing an engineering degree, the students will undergo a total transformation not just academically but also personally. They develop attitude to face problem situations comfortably and to arrive at intelligent and innovative solutions.
 
 Not expect similar
 Students enter into campus life after undergoing a lot of spoon feeding type of education during Schooling and Junior College days. However, during engineering they should not expect similar spoon feeding type of education, otherwise they will be disappointed. Lecturers may present overview of any subject with in-depth discussion in selected few topics wherever it is felt important. Rest of the things, students will have to learn on their own. Hence self learning is very important quality one should acquire without fail. Otherwise, they will lag behind others. Sometimes, lectures may seem to be boring. It may be either due to your disinterest in the subject or the teacher is not able to present the concepts clearly. In either case, there is no point in blaming the subject or the teacher. It is better if the student develops interest in the subject on his own by doing some homework on understanding the applications of such subjects in engineering career.
 
 Raise your hand
 Students must be active in the class and be good learners. In case, if any concept being dealt with lecturer is not clear, raise your hand and ask humbly for clarity on the same. Students should be active learners by being more interactive in the class with faculty which will make them learn effectively. Do not sit dumb in the class as it would make you a passive learner.
  
 First year include
 First year of engineering generally include subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry with focus on their applications in engineering. A few core subjects such as Engineering Drawing, Computer Programming and Workshop Practice giving a basic idea of their stream of engineering will also be introduced. English is also taught with the support of language labs in most of the engineering colleges. Students should attend classes regularly to keep up to date on the topics discussed in the class. In case if they are absent for any classes, they must check with their classmates what topics were covered by lecturer during such periods of absenteeism.
 
 Special attention
 As there is little pressure of learning engineering core subjects during first year, students should focus on their personality development. Spoken English has to be given special attention. Particularly, students coming from rural areas need to overcome their weakness in spoken or written English during the first year. Most of the colleges/ institutions have exclusive English language labs where the students can polish their spoken English. The students must get used to the new methods of learning such as writing assignments, collecting study materials from library or online resources and doing a lot of self study.
 
 Focus on acquiring skills
 The students should use any leisure time available to focus on acquiring other skills such as participating in Group discussions and Team events. Learning to build good vocabulary, word power, quantitative/ analytical ability and logical reasoning should be done on a continuous basis as these things cannot be acquired overnight. Read reputed news papers, especially editorials to get an insight into the current issues from various dimensions. Watch English programmes in foreign TV channels to understand different accents of English language. Converse with friends /classmates and teachers in English only.
 
 Important components
 Extra Curricular activities can be taken up as they will also form important components of their resume when they start applying for Jobs / Higher studies. The students should aim to participate in various competitions in different colleges at state level and at national level. This gives them confidence and an exposure to new things. They will learn how to manage things while working in a team, improve on their communication skills, time management and a lot more. Exposure to practical things teaches many new things to the students. And one should also identify ones' weaknesses and should find ways in overcoming them to build self confidence.
 
 Should not fail
 Maintaining a steady percentage of marks during four years of BE course work is very important. It is not necessary to be topper in the class. It is fine if you are in the top 10% in the class as long as you are able to build on your overall personality. Students should not fail in any subjects as it would jeopardize their first job opportunities. Most of the companies hiring freshers are imposing a condition that candidates should not have any history of backlogs in engineering coursework. A balance between academics, extra-curricular or co-curricular activities is a must. It is very important to balance studies and college fun equally. A student should not totally concentrate on one and loose focus on other. Time management, Team work and multi tasking are very crucial skills to be acquired by practice.
 
 Organizing skills
 The students should also cultivate event management skills by organizing various tech fests in the college. If target is to get a job in Multinational Company, then learning one foreign language would be handy. Students targeting software jobs should be good at soft skills and programming. Attending mock Group discussions and mock interviews would do lot of good in their preparation for campus interviews.
 
 Key challenge
 Selecting good friends during the first year is a key challenge. Do not get carried away with friends who are not sincere in academics. They may try to distract you for other outside activities whose main interest in having fun. Avoid such friends who bunk classes and show careless attitude.
 
 Groom yourself
 Remember, your parents have lots of dreams on you. Aim to live up to their dreams. Never forget that you have a responsibility in making the best of every rupee that is spent by your hard earning parents. The parents do not expect you to give back after you start earning. They wish that you conduct and behave well and groom yourself into an all round engineer who is also a good human being! And the seeds of such personality growth are sown in the first year of engineering. Be sincere, focused and disciplined. Aim bigger and try to reach greater heights!
