పంజాబ్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి కెప్టెన్ అమరీందర్ సింగ్ సంచలన నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నారు. రాష్ట్రంలో వీఐపీ సంస్కృతికి చరమగీతం పాడుతూ.. మొత్తం మంత్రులు, ఎమ్మెల్యేలు, ఉన్నతాధికారులు ఎవరి కార్లకూ బుగ్గలు (సైరన్ లైట్లు) తీసేస్తామని ప్రకటించారు. దాంతో ఇక ముఖ్యమంత్రికి తప్ప వేరెవ్వరికీ బుగ్గ కార్లు ఉండని పరిస్థితి ఏర్పడుతుంది. శనివారం నాడు సమావేశమైన అమరీందర్ మంత్రివర్గం ఇంకా అనేక నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకుంది. వాటన్నింటినీ ఆయన తన ట్విట్టర్ ఖాతా ద్వారా వెల్లడించారు. ప్రభుత్వ ఉద్యోగాలన్నింటిలో మహిళలకు 33 శాతం రిజర్వేషన్లు కల్పిస్తామన్నారు. పంజాబ్‌నుంచి డ్రగ్స్‌ భూతాన్ని పూర్తిగా తరిమేయడానికి వీలుగా ఒక స్పెషల్ టాస్క్‌ఫోర్స్‌ను ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని నిర్ణయించామన్నారు. స్వాతంత్ర్య సమర యోధులందరికీ ఇళ్లు కట్టించి ఇస్తామని తెలిపారు.
 
 అలాగే రాష్ట్రంలో వ్యవసాయాన్ని మళ్లీ అభివృద్ధి పథంలోకి తెచ్చేందుకు రైతులకు ఉచిత విద్యుత్తును కొనసాగిస్తామన్నారు. రుణమాఫీ విషయాన్ని అంచనా వేసి, దాని అమలుకు సంబంధించిన ప్రతిపాదనలను ఇచ్చేందుకు ఒక నిపుణుల కమిటీని ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని మంత్రివర్గ సమావేశంలో నిర్ణయించినట్లు తెలిపారు. రాష్ట్రంలో ప్రజలను వేధింపులకు గురిచేస్తున్న డీటీఓలు, హల్కా ఇన్‌చార్జులు ఉండబోరని, ఆ రెండు వ్యవస్థలను రద్దుచేయాలని తమ కేబినెట్ నిర్ణయం తీసుకుందని చెప్పారు. నదీ జలాల పరిరక్షణ కోసం అన్ని రకాల న్యాయపరమైన, పాలనాపరమైన అవకాశాలను చూస్తామన్నారు. పాత ప్రభుత్వ హయాంలో పెట్టిన తప్పుడు కేసులు, ఎఫ్ఐఆర్‌లపై విచారణకు ఓ కమిషన్ ఏర్పాటు చేస్తామన్నారు. నిర్దోషులందరికీ న్యాయం చేస్తామని తెలిపారు.
